Gratitude

It’s Thanksgiving Day in America.  It’s a day to publicly or privately pronounce all for which you are grateful.  I  usually make a note daily of everything for which I am thankful.  I am thankful for my life, health, family, stability in my home, great friends, the food on my table, and the ability to live in a free democratic society (despite what is  playing out in politics on TV the past few years.)

I’m a firm believer that we all have a reason to be grateful. Being thankful helps you develop a positive mindset, and I am sure we all have more things to be thankful for than not.  There have been many studies done on the effects of expressing gratitude, which support an association between gratitude and an individual's well-being.

What are you thankful for today?  Not sure?  Here are a few to get you started.

  1. Health

  2. Life

  3. Warm home

  4. Friends

  5. Family

I feel so strongly on the topic of gratitude that I published a daily gratitude journal that you can find online at Amazon here.  Give Thanks and Smell the Flowers, is a 52-week gratitude journal designed to be a companion to the Little Flower Garden coloring book.  I feel every day being alive is a day to be thankful. Be inspired by the weekly flower quotes and or create your weekly affirmation. There is space to commit to a new goal and express your gratitude daily in this feel-good journal.

Thank you!
